Leah Dawn is a Houston based singer, songwriter, guitar player, and bass player.  She has spent the last decade developing her songwriting craft while finishing up her engineering career and raising two daughters. She is a storyteller that draws from her own life experiences as well as that of others to capture the emotion, joys, and struggles of everyday life.  

Leah’s first love is songwriting and she is the cofounder of the Iron Bridge Songwriting Retreat (www.ironbridgesongwriters.com) which occurs annually in Lake Tawakoni, TX. She believes that music is the universal love language and that it has immense healing properties!  She has experienced this first hand and strives to bring that joy to others!

Leah released her debut album “Livin' the Dream” in the summer of '25 with producer Mandy Rowden and has since been performing solo to promote the album.  You can check out her solo work on all the streaming sites.

Leah splits her time between Houston and Austin to play bass guitar with the all female Rhinestone Renegades band (www.therhinestonerenegades.com).  The Rhinestone Renegades play a mixture of 80’s, 90’s, and modern country music in the greater Austin area.  Come check us out!

• Selected as a performer at The Texas Women Songwriters Festival in Lockhart, TX - September ‘25 and ‘26
• Won 3rd place in the Music  Association of Central Texas (MACT) Songwriter Competition in Waco, TX- 9/22/25
• Won 2nd Runner up in the Texas State Songwriters Championship for Female Songwriter of the year (season 12) in Electra, TX - 3/15/26
• Opened for Tish Hinojosa at Girl Guitar concert in Austin, TX - 4/11/26
